For all involved in Primary Education including governors, mentors, teaching assistants, school nurses, pastoral teams, learning mentors, teaching assistants and any inter-agency staff associated with supporting children.

Course Description
Puppets can engage, excite and offer an imaginative way into many aspects of the curriculum even for Year 6!

Competence in emotional literacy, conflict resolution, communication and interpersonal skills is critical for children to develop resilience and become able to deal effectively with the difficulties and celebrate the joys that will inevitably make up their life stories.

Practitioners will have an opportunity to:

  • Explore the use of puppets in promoting Inclusion,PSED and Emotional Literacy
  • Develop the practical skills to use puppets confidently
  • Look at how puppets can be used to develop conflict resolution skills
  • Be offered lots of ideas suitable for all year groups
  • Rediscover the joy in imaginative play
